HOLIDAY PARTY STYLE GUIDE

The Holiday season is upon us, and despite the fact that it’s still the start of December; New Years will come and go before we notice. With Christmas parties and New Year Eve celebrations forthcoming, I thought I would share with you some of my party outfit ideas- for both men and women -in hopes to relieve some stress off from all the sorting and planning that’s overflowing your schedule. I know the struggle with picking out outfits for any holiday party as i'm a high school student and, unfortunately, have finals during the same time.(time is never enough) Its the same every year: last minute shopping or scrimmaging through my closet two/three days before a Christmas party. However, this year will be different, because the fashion gods have swooped down to save the day! The Black Tux is an online tux rental company for men that offers a wide selection of quality suits for an incredible value. From the finest merino wool, real leather shoes, to a large accessory selection, The Black Tux will deliver your entire evening outfit just in time for the holiday gatherings (with free shipping)! I was lucky enough to be sent their style guide for outfit inspirations, and with the expert tips, I was able to compose a few festive outfit ideas.
I hope this mini lookbook inspires you for any upcoming holiday parties you are stressing over. As for your escort, there are numerous designs (tuxedos and suits) to choose from The Black Tux's tuxedo rentals. Have a lovely festive day and may you be the best dressed!

1. CASUAL CHIC
First is a casual look with a chic twist. The term "casual" doesn't always have to refer to clothing such as jeans, cotton t-shirts, and converse; and "chic"doesn't imply to the latest, fashion-forward styles. This look is for all the ladies that want to dress up, but don't prefer the center attention. I paired a black and white speckled sweater dress with black leggings and black leather, high-rise ankle booties. Accessory- wise, I added a dainty white necklace and to go well with my boots, I finished off the look with a leather black purse. Finally, for extra warmth and a pop of colour, I put on my pastel blue winter coat.

2. FORMAL
This next look is for that fancy Christmas dinner. Whenever I think formal holiday parties, the first two clothing items which come to mind are sequence and lace. I don't currently own any sequence, so the next best thing was this neutral toned lace dress. I decided I wanted to keep this outfit monochrome, so I kept my shoes and clutch the same colour. And for the frosty weather outside, I paired a bulbous white (fake) fur coat for class.

3.PROFESSIONAL
Finally, I have on a look that screams sophistication. The combination of the black para-shoot paints with the deep ocean blue, pointed toe heels bring on an elegant style that is perfect for a holiday dinner party. For the top, I have on a pastel blue, quarter length sleeve sweater to go along with the shoes. For colour variation, I chose a sparkly gold clutch.
