Ah… The morning alarm of chirping
bird songs, the persistent aroma of barbecues, and the sweltering rays of
sunshine injecting your skin with vitamin d; that is the depiction of summer
and its right around the corner! I can already hear the gusting ocean breeze
sweeping me toward paradise. I can spot the coconut loaded palm trees, and am
salivating at the thought of chocolate gelato. But with all the summer holiday
preparations and adventure planning, it’s easy to forget the small basic
essentials whilst packing. Hair-ties, bobby pins, or a set of pearly white
earrings; these are the
little nitty-gritty items that we just cannot leave behind, yet often do.
Whatever you’re packing for this year’s holiday, one thing you certainly
mustn’t leave behind is a pair (or two, in the case of a big wave swallowing
the first pair… no this did not happen to me …) of sunglasses. And I’ve got the
best brand to share with you, offering their latest 1960s-inspired sunglasses
for summer 2017!
Warby Parker is an online eye wear
company, offering both sunglasses and eyeglasses for men and women. Founded in 2010, the
company’s motto still remains the same: provide customers an alternative to
overpriced glasses. Each pair starts at just $95, and with their “buy a pair,
give a pair” program, each Warby Parker sold is a donation received to
nonprofit partners -such as VisionSpring- for people in the developing world to
be given eye exams and glasses inexpensively.
Just in time for summer, Warby Parker has come out with their
newest sunglasses collection. This year, the 60s are back in style! The head-turning Haskell frame has had a ROY G. BIV makeover with six options of flash lenses in every shade from silver to mirrored violet. With sun-bright colors
like Taupe Crystal, Beach Grass, Weathered Wood, Rosy Milky Crystals, Periwinkle,
and Coral— their simple shape and style have the staying power of classics and
are great for all face shapes.
And if you’re looking forward to some down time, with a good book in
one hand and a cocktail in the other, Warby Parker also offers prescription eyeglasses
starting at $95. Their latest collection introduces three new stylish shapes: Finch, Carver, and Percey. Chestnut
Crystal, Tidal Blue, Lilac Crystal, and Oak Resin just to name a few; with such
a diverse array of colors, you’ll forget they’re a vision aid and wear them as
a fashion accessory!
With these frames, you’ll wish the sun would never set!
